As part of the original team that launched West Special Fasteners in October 1999, James has been a vital part of our history. Over 30 years of fastener experience has seen James become one of the UK’s most respected members of the fastener industry. Pushing West Special Fasteners in its growth, James has overseen a company that started with 6 people and 2 machines, into a company that now employs over 60 people and sells to valued customers worldwide.
Simon Grass-Smith
Business Development Manager
Simon brings a wealth of experience to his role as Business Development Manager at West Special Fasteners. With a deep understanding of the fastener industry, Simon has developed expertise across sales, customer relations, and market expansion.
Sonja Skelton
Managing Director
Sonja is our managing director. She has worked within the fastener industry for over 27 years in various departments gaining knowledge in purchasing, certification, sales, quality and management which enables her to offer an exceptional standard of service to customers old and new.
Scott Smith
Technical Director
Starting in purchasing back in 2006, Scott has grown with the company, becoming Quality Manager in 2012. Scott has overseen major success stories for West Special Fasteners, including Norsok & Joscar qualification, the implementation of an ERP system specific for the production of special fasteners and the evolution of our ISO 9001 system. Scott’s attention to detail and commitment to quality is a vital part of our success and visions for the future.
Tim Wilson
Sales Director
Involved in special fasteners since 1995, Tim is another member of the team that has vast experience of the market. Bringing 20 years’ experience with him in 2015, Tim helped West Special Fasteners enter new export markets, along with helping the UK market grow to record levels. With a commitment to customer satisfaction and building solid relationships with our customers, Tim and his team will continue to be market leaders in this area.
