From 20th to 22nd May, the spotlight was on all things naval, as global experts and enthusiasts met to explore how we keep the seas safe, smart, and strategically sound.
The event looked at four key areas:
Future Surface Fleet (think next-gen ships that are smarter, faster, and tougher)
Underwater Defence and Security (submarines, sonar, and the secrets below the surface)
Submarine Technology (stealthy, silent, and seriously advanced)
Surface Technology (everything from radar to resilient hulls)
Together, these themes powered some incredible discussions about how countries can align their naval forces for the future, not just to keep up, but to lead the way. The goal? To bring together the brightest minds from international navies, defence industries, and top academic institutions, and get them talking, planning, and innovating as one.
And of course, Sonja & Simon were right in the thick of it, soaking up insights, sharing ideas, showcasing our high performance fasteners and representing Wests with style.
