Supporting Pride, Celebrating Community: Chesterfield Pride 2026

June 22, 2026

A Proper Feel-Good Day at Chesterfield Pride

We were genuinely thrilled to sponsor Chesterfield Pride this year, and everything lined up perfectly.

The big win? It stayed dry. No last-minute scrambles for cover, no watching the sky every five minutes , just a full day where the weather behaved itself. Around here, that counts as a success before you’ve even walked through the gates.

More importantly, it was just a really easy event to enjoy. Families with young children, groups of teenagers, people dropping in for an hour and others settling in for the whole day, everyone found their place. It never felt exclusive or overwhelming, just relaxed and welcoming

A Line-Up That Built Throughout the Day

One of the things Chesterfield Pride always gets right is the pacing. It never feels as though people are simply waiting around for the headline act because there’s always something happening.

The earlier performances eased everyone into the day before things gradually picked up. Kelly Wilde set the tone brilliantly, Honey G brought plenty of fun, Adam Rickett got a great reaction from the crowd, and Sheena carried the momentum into the late afternoon as more people gathered around the stage.

By the time Betty Boo appeared, you could feel the shift in atmosphere. The crowd was fully invested, and “Doin’ the Do” still had people singing along, whether they wanted to admit it or not.

Una Healy closed the evening in exactly the right way. It felt like a proper headline set,  confident, engaging and a fitting end to a day that had built so well.

The Moments People Remember

Kelly Wilde, the Queen of Pride deserves another mention because that performance really stayed with us. It had one of those infectious, join-in qualities that pulls everyone together, and we’ve definitely sung “Gloria” more than a few times since.

The cabaret stage was drawing crowds of its own too. With two stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK on the bill, Choriza May brought exactly the energy and humour you’d expect, while local lass Kate Butch went down brilliantly. It was great to see people moving between both stages rather than everything revolving around one area.

The Best Part of the Day

What stood out most was the atmosphere.

Families were gathered near the stage with children dancing at the front, friends were catching up over a drink, and others were wandering between stalls and performances, taking it all in. There was plenty going on, but nothing felt hectic. It had the sort of atmosphere where people could enjoy the day in their own way.

Local Businesses Backing Local Events

Days like this don’t happen on their own. It takes organisers, volunteers, performers and local businesses all pulling in the same direction.

It’s easy to underestimate how much events like Chesterfield Pride bring to the town. They give people a reason to come into Chesterfield, spend time here and enjoy everything the area has to offer. That’s good for local shops, cafés and independent businesses, but it also helps create the sort of town people want to be part of.

We’re proud to have played a small part in supporting it this year, and it’s great to see so many other local businesses doing the same.

Credit Where It’s Due

A huge amount of work goes into an event like this, and the organisers deserve enormous credit for how smoothly it all came together.

From the mix of acts to the layout and flow of the day, everything felt carefully considered. We’re very lucky to have an event like this in Chesterfield, and it’s clear just how much effort goes into making it look effortless.

Same Again Next Year

We’ll definitely be back.

It’s one of those dates that’s earned its place in the calendar: good music, a brilliant atmosphere and a genuine sense of community from start to finish.

We were proud to support Chesterfield Pride this year, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next time.
