What a night! The 2025 Chesterfield FC Community Awards brought together some of the most inspiring people in our area. The kind who make a real difference, not for recognition, but simply because they care.
These awards were all about showcasing the individuals who go the extra mile for others. Whether it’s fundraising, supporting green causes, or just being a positive force in the community.

We were especially proud that our very own sales Director Tim Wilson, had the honour of presenting the award and a prize donated by West Special Fasteners for Young Achiever of the Year . This was won by Charlie Middlebrook, with the award graciously accepted on his behalf by Danny Webb Assistant manager at Chesterfield Football club. Despite personal challenges, Charlie was nominated for an award for his determination to grow and improve. Living with ADHD and autism, he has faced difficulties with behaviour and learning, particularly in school. Over time, he’s shown remarkable dedication to bettering himself both on and off the pitch. His positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and support for others have left a lasting impression. Football has been more than a game for Charlie, it’s been a path to personal growth
Reflecting on the evening Tim shared:
“I thought the evening was a great celebration for people that are either going above and beyond helping in the local community or had shown determination and bravery dealing with difficult personal circumstances. It certainly opened my eyes to some of the things that happen on a daily basis in my local area, which I’d have never heard of if not attending the awards ceremony.”
“There are a lot of caring, hardworking and people who want to make a difference in Chesterfield & the surrounding areas, who fully deserve the recognition that these awards give. Hopefully, it can encourage more people to try and make a difference in our community. It really was an honour to be at the ceremony, present an award to a deserving winner, and share the evening with a lot of wonderful people. “
Tim’s words reflect the spirit of the Chesterfield FC Community Awards, celebrating everyday heroes and their quiet impact.
These events remind us that community strength comes from small acts of kindness, courage, and connection that often go unnoticed
