About Silicon Bronze C65500
Silicon Bronze UNS C65500 has a balance of good ductility and high tensile strength. This material also offers resistance against many corrosives, such as organic chemicals, salt and fresh water and acids & alkalis. Silicon Bronze UNS C65500 has moderate strength as well as excellent hot and cold workability. It is not suitable for use with nitric acid, sulphides, acid chromates, or oxidizing salts such as ferric chloride.
Silicon Bronze UNS C65500 is used in a variety of applications such as aerospace, industrial and marine environments (hydraulic pressure lines, propeller shafts). UNS C65500 is also used in chemical processing and marine hardware because of its resistance to many corrosives.
