About Inconel Alloy 600 ®

Inconel Alloy 600 is designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures. Alloy 600 has very good resistance against corrosion such as salt water, organic acids and exhaust gases and is virtually immune to chlorine ion stress corrosion cracking. Inconel Alloy 600 is hardened and strengthened only by cold working.

Inconel Alloy 600 is used in a variety of applications, including the chemical industry for its resistance to corrosion and its strength. It is also used in the aeronautical industry for parts which must be able to cope with high airframe and engine temperatures. Other applications include Furnaces (because of its excellent resistance to heat) and carburizing atmospheres.
