Precision-Engineered Sanicro® 35 Hex Nuts

UK Manufacturer – ISO 9001-certified – UK and EU-sourced materials – Full traceability

Sanicro® 35 Hex Nuts

We are a leading UK manufacturer of Sanicro® 35 hex nuts, precision-engineered at our Sheffield facility to meet the rigorous demands of extreme corrosive environments. Sanicro® 35 is a high-performance super-austenitic alloy that bridges the gap between stainless steels and nickel alloys, offering a PREN value greater than 52. Each nut is manufactured to order from fully traceable materials, ensuring exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in applications ranging from offshore piping to chemical processing.

Our Sanicro® 35 hex nuts provide a cost-effective, high-strength alternative to expensive nickel-based alloys like Alloy 625 without compromising on durability or reliability. Certified to ISO 9001 standards, our fasteners are designed to maintain structural stability and superior mechanical properties even in high-chloride and acidic environments. Whether for seawater cooling systems or industrial refineries, we deliver bespoke fasteners manufactured to your exact specifications and tolerances to ensure maximum safety and longevity.

Why Choose Sanicro® 35 Hex Nuts?

Sanicro® 35 is a high-performance super-austenitic alloy that bridges the gap between stainless steels and expensive nickel alloys, offering:

  • Exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking
  • High mechanical strength and excellent structural stability
  • Cost-effective performance with a stable price point compared to high-nickel alloys
  • Outstanding durability in aggressive chloride, seawater, and acidic environments

These properties make Sanicro® 35 hex nuts an ideal choice for critical assemblies in demanding chemical processing, refinery, and offshore applications.

Sanicro® 35: Information, Composition & Properties for Hex Nuts

Sanicro® 35 is a high-performance super-austenitic alloy designed to bridge the gap between high-alloy stainless steels and expensive nickel alloys. Characterized by its exceptional structural stability and high mechanical strength, this grade offers a versatile solution for hex nuts used in the most demanding industrial environments. By combining the best features of both stainless steel and nickel-based alloys, Sanicro® 35 hex nuts provide a cost-effective alternative to materials like Alloy 625, ensuring long-term reliability without the price volatility associated with high-nickel content.

Composition:

The superior performance of Sanicro® 35 is derived from its precise chemical composition, featuring 27% chromium, 35% nickel, and 6.5% molybdenum. The high chromium and molybdenum levels, further enhanced by 0.3% nitrogen, result in a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) of at least 52. This chemical balance is specifically engineered to provide maximum resistance to localized corrosion while maintaining high yield strength and excellent ductility, making it an ideal material for critical fastening components.

Properties:

  • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Sanicro® 35 exhibits exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments, such as seawater, and remains highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and hydrogen embrittlement.
  • Superior Acid and Alkali Performance: It provides high resistance to general corrosion in a wide range of aggressive media, including sulfuric, nitric, and hydrochloric acids, as well as caustic solutions.
  • High Mechanical Strength: With a typical yield strength of 425 MPa, Sanicro® 35 hex nuts offer significantly higher load-bearing capabilities than standard austenitic grades, ensuring structural integrity under high stress.
  • Temperature Versatility: The alloy maintains its excellent mechanical and chemical properties across a broad temperature spectrum, from cryogenic conditions up to 550°C (1022°F).

At West Special Fasteners, we take pride in every Sanicro® 35 Hex Nut we produce, no matter the application.

Certified Quality and Traceability

West Special Fasteners operates a fully accredited ISO 9001 quality system with comprehensive documentation and batch traceability. All material certificates and inspection reports are supplied as standard, ensuring complete confidence in the origin and integrity of every component.
