A Stunning Venue and Warm Welcome
Last week, a few of us from West Special Fasteners had the pleasure of attending the Enterprising Women Awards, hosted by the East Midlands Chamber at the stunning Winstanley House in Leicester. From the moment we arrived, the evening felt special, starting with a champagne reception where everyone looked fantastic, and continuing into a beautifully decorated hall draped in elegant white and filled with anticipation.
Celebrating Women Across the East Midlands
The Enterprising Women Awards celebrate the achievements of women in business across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire. It was a real privilege to be in the company of so many inspiring individuals who are making a difference in their industries and communities.
Great Hosts, Great Atmosphere
The evening was expertly hosted by Emma Jesson, who brought energy and charm to the stage. That said, we must give a special mention to Eileen Perry and Jean Mountain, co-chairs of the Enterprising Women network, whose leadership and presence throughout the night were nothing short of fantastic, they could have easily taken on the hosting duties themselves!
A Night of Inspiration and Recognition
We were especially proud to support our very own MD Sonja Skelton, who was nominated as a finalist for Business Woman of the Year. Although she didn’t take home the award (this time!) being recognised among such an outstanding group of women is a huge achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder. Her hard work, dedication, and leadership continue to inspire all of us at West Special Fasteners.
