Monel Alloy 400 ®

Monel Alloy 400 ® is a nickel-copper alloy which can only be hardened by cold working. Monel Alloy 400 offers excellent resistance to many environments, including chemical, marine and alkali environments. This also shows good resistance to stress corrosion and cracking in fresh waters. It is also very resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated. Monel Alloy 400 also offers fine mechanical properties from subzero temperatures up to about 480C. However, it is a poor performer in oxidising conditions and not useful against, for example, nitrous and nitric acids.

West Special Fasteners are manufacturers of Monel Alloy 400 Fasteners.

Monel Alloy 400 Fasteners such as Bolts, Nuts, Studbolts, Studs, Socket Capscrews, Washers, Socket Setscrews, Socket Countersunk screws & bespoke machined components to drawings or Hot Forged items can all be produced at West Special Fasteners Limited.

We can also supply round bar in Monel Alloy 400.

Monel Alloy 400 is used in a variety of applications which require excellent resistance to a number of environments; primarily marine engineering and chemical processing. Monel Alloy 400 is also used in gasoline and freshwater tanks, as well as crude oil distillation towers and industrial heat exchangers.

West Special Fasteners specialises in exotic metals and have supplied major UK companies with Monel Alloy 400 bolts, nuts etc.

We look forward to helping with your Monel Alloy 400 requirements and would welcome any enquiries by telephone on + 44 (0)1246 291111 or email [email protected].
